CONTRIBUCIONES CIENTIFICAS:

(1) Estudio teorico de la propagacion de ondas elasticas, mostrando por primera vez la relacion entre la representacion en termino de rayos generalizados y la de modos en una Tierra esferica.
(2) Determinacion del Regimen de Esfuerzos promedio en una region sismica, usando datos microtectonicos y mecanismos de foco de una coleccion de Terremotos, empleando los metodos de la Teoria del Problema Inverso.
(3) Aplicacion al regimen tectonico en el Caucaso, Francia, España, Colombia, Chile y otras regiones.
(4) Estudio de terreno de Terremotos destructores usando metodos multidisciplinarios, incluyendo replicas, observaciones neotectonicas, paleosismologia, campo de deformaciones etc. En particular, los terremotos de El Asnam (Algeria, 1980), Spitak (Armenia, 1988), Racha (Georgia, 1991), Erzincan (Turkey, 1992), Antofagasta (Chile, 1995), Izmit (Turkey, 1999).
